Customizing the promotional materials looks different depending on what type of computer you're using (MAC or PC) and what software you're using (Adobe Acrobat, Preview, etc.).
If you're not familiar with customizing PDFs, we highly recommend that you ask someone in your local church to assist you with this project. It will save you lots of time (and frustration), and people are usually happy to use their gifts and talents to help out!
After you've downloaded the print file to your computer, here are the steps for each option:
For the customizable Canva templates:
Create a free account at Canva to access and edit the templates.
Open the Alpha template by clicking View the Template → Open in Editor.
Customize the design by updating the Date, Location, and QR code.
To avoid accidental changes, use Canva’s lock features:
Lock: Prevents all edits and movement.
Lock Position: Keeps the item fixed in place while still allowing you to edit its content or style.
For Mac users:
If the assets have editable fields:
1. Open the Alpha template PDF file with "Preview" (free software built into Mac).
2. Type in your information into the customizable fields.
3. Click “Save.”
4. Send the file to your local print shop (eg, Staples) or save it to a flash drive to print out at your church or home office.
For PC users:
1. Use pdfescape.com to upload the PDF file you wish to edit
2. Make changes in the fillable/customizable fields.
3. Save and download the edited PDF.

Using Adobe Acrobat (not Reader):
1. Open the file with either Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.
2. Choose either the Hand Tool or the Select Tool from the menu.
3. Type in the customizable text areas (Mac or PC users).
4. Click “Save.”
