Team Roles, words don't match, speakers are off, syncing issue, won't play, choppy

If you cannot play the videos, or if the voices don't seem to match the speakers on the video, here are some options that might help:

1 - Download the videos and save them to your computer. If you stream the videos live, your computer might lag or have buffering issues. Save each video to your computer and then click "share screen" to show them.

2 - Turn OFF your video camera when sharing your screen. This will increase the clarity of the video that is being shared.

3 - Click the TWO buttons at the bottom of the screen to "share computer sound" and "optimize screen sharing" after you click on "Share screen." This will lower the resolution and increase the frame rate. Then select the Alpha video that you want to play. (See image below)

4 - We recommend using VLC media player to watch the videos. Some people who use Windows Media Player or Quicktime have reported that their videos are choppy when they share them online. VLC software is free and safe to use. Use the dropdown box to choose your computer's operating system. Here is the link to download the software: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

5 - Check Zoom's system requirements to run a video conferencing call:

  • A stable internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)

  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth

  • A webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in or
    - an HD cam or HD camcorder with a video capture card
    - Virtual camera software for use with broadcasting software like OBS or IP camera (Note: For macOS, Zoom client 5.1.1 or higher is required)

6 - Use a cable to connect your computer to your internet device (LAN cable or ethernet). A physical cable connection is generally faster than WiFi (wireless connection) and provides more stability and security.

7 - If none of these options work, you can copy the "video share link" and paste it in the group chatbox after you do intros and icebreakers with your Alpha guests. Then they can watch the video on their own (but at the same time as everyone else) and join the discussion afterwards.
